About RoleDrop

RoleDrop is a UK-based recruitment technology company focused on graduate hiring, building scalable platforms to help STEM and Finance students discover, apply, and track opportunities. The platform combines AI-driven personalisation with real-time application management to connect students with the right roles faster and with less friction — solving a problem the client has seen repeatedly throughout the graduate space.

Challenge

Graduate job discovery is fragmented, manual and inefficient. Students rely on multiple disconnected platforms, struggle to track applications and frequently miss deadlines due to a lack of centralised tooling. Recruiters and administrators face high manual workloads with inconsistent data and no streamlined way to manage hiring schemes at scale.

Key problems identified included:

  • Existing platforms prioritising job listings over user experience, leaving graduates overwhelmed rather than supported
  • Competing platforms moving fast to supply roles, creating pressure to aggregate opportunities from multiple sources and deliver them to candidates instantly

Solution

FiftyFive Technologies designed, developed and delivered a scalable AI-powered recruitment ecosystem end-to-end, covering custom software development, AI/ML integration and cloud deployment.

The platform includes two custom portals — Candidate and Admin — built on a modular, cloud-native foundation. Key features include:

  • Secure onboarding via Google OAuth and OTP authentication
  • AI job scraping architecture retrieving roles from multiple external platforms, normalising them and pushing relevant opportunities to users based on their personal preferences
  • Kanban-style application tracker for structured, deadline-aware application management
  • Real-time alerts and notifications delivered via email integration
  • Admin dashboard with ATS API integrations across Workday, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters
  • Automated job sourcing through webhooks, newsletters and Zyte web scraping
  • Data enrichment and normalisation pipelines powered by OpenAI APIs
  • Built on React.js, NestJS and MongoDB, deployed via Dockerized AWS infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines

Results

The platform enabled 80% faster job discovery through AI-driven recommendations and automated alerts. Students saw improved application success rates through structured Kanban tracking and deadline reminders, while recruiters significantly reduced manual effort through automated scheme management and integrated ATS workflows.
